Be Safe – this too has come to pass

If you see me wearing a mask in public and in the stores, I want you to know that…

🔵 I’m educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.

🔵 No, I don’t “live in fear” of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.

🔵 I don’t feel like the “government controls me”. I feel like I’m an adult contributing to security in our society and I want to teach others the same.

🔵 If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place.

🔵 Wearing a mask doesn’t make me weak, scared, stupid or even “controlled”. It makes me caring.

🔵 When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people’s opinion of you, imagine a loved one – a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger – placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member who is allowed at his bedside.

🔵 Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little while wearing a mask.

Be safe people

Camera angles

Been playing with my camera today – thinking I need to take some lessons on how to use it all.

I like this one the best of all I took and kept today

I took this one first, focusing on it’s little bowed head (It’s a flower on the flowering gum tree in our back yard)

But then I moved and saw this! Such an amazing little flower, and it’s the only one left on the tree now.

I am angry! I know I should not be, and there is nothing I can do about the situation, but I am angry.

Some mindless, thoughtless, selfish, stupid people have come to East Gippsland whilst awaiting results of the COVID19 test.

I cannot for the life of me, understand the mentality that thinks – Oh, I think I might have COVID19 so I’ll go and get tested, I have symptoms so maybe I do have the virus. BUT, while I wait I’ll go and visit my friends in East Gippsland. I’ll go and see my friends, hug them and kiss them, and visit their homes. I’ll go to pubs and shops in the area, it won’t matter, I’m sure I don’t have the virus”

We have been so careful, we have washed our hands, we have kept our distance, we have done all the things we have been asked to do – and yet these two individuals think nothing of coming here, they made a decision, even knowing that they might have the virus, to come here and put us all at risk!

While there is this thoughtless, selfish, stupid attitude in the community – WE HAVE NO HOPE of stopping the virus.

It is my thought that if anyone becomes ill, or dies from the virus as a direct result of the decision of these two, they should be made to face the families, and explain! And that’s after they’ve paid for all the closed businesses, all the cleaning bills, and all the anguish they have caused by their pleasure seeking, self serving, selfish, mindless, idiotic decision! It was not a “mistake” it was a conscious, knowing, willful decision to put a whole community at risk for one weekend of visits and mindless self serving fun. And it was a conscious, knowing decision to break the law! They knew, but they came anyway!

Are you somewhere tonight holding your heads high, feeling proud of your decision? Are your parents feeling so proud of you and your caring, loving attitude to others? Somehow, I hope you are somewhere hiding, hanging your heads in shame, fearful of being recognised by those who you have needlessly, heedlessly put at risk. If someone dies because of your actions you know that it is totally provable that you were responsible! You are traced, you are clearly at fault, and there is no defence, no excuse, no reason, that could say otherwise.

You are GUILTY of the murder of anyone who now dies because of your one stupid, selfish decision.
