Lakes Entrance has it all!

We live in the most amazing and diverse part of the world, and we have it all here!!

Melinda and Tony, aboard Lonsdale Eco Cruises get to enjoy it every day, as they take locals and visitors alike on a voyage of discovery!

Cat’s Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray this cushy life to keep.
I pray for toys that look like mice,
And sofa cushions, soft and nice.

I pray for gourmet kitty snacks,
And someone nice to scratch my back,
For windowsills all warm and bright,
For shadows to explore at night.

I pray I’ll always stay real cool
And keep the secret feline rule
To never tell a human that
The world is really ruled by cats!

Middle Age Remembered

Two middle-aged couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other, “Fred, how was the memory clinic you went to last month?”

“Outstanding,” Fred replied. “They taught us all the latest psychological techniques, like visualization, association, and so on. It was great. I haven’t had a problem since.”

“Sounds like something I could use. What was the name of the clinic?”

Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn’t remember.

Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, “What do you call that flower with the long stem and thorns?”

“You mean a rose?”

“Yes, that’s it!”

He turned to his wife, “Hey Rose, what was the name of that memory clinic?”

Knit & Natter

Knit & Natter session at Lakes Entrance

We had another fun filled “Knit & Natter” at Lakes Bowls Club on Friday afternoon. Thank you to all the ladies who attended and helped to make it such a fun time. We will continue to schedule regular Knit & Natter sessions as long as we are all enjoying them.

For those of you who have not yet attended, please feel welcome to come along. It is a very informal time to enjoy our craft over a cup of coffee, and to enjoy the company of like minded women. It is not required that you donate any work to Charity, to participate, everyone is welcome to just come along.
